More Cities Issue "Stay At Home" Orders & Curfews

Delray Beach became the latest local city to issue a stay at home order and a curfew that went into effect at midnight Sunday night. The curfew runs from 12:01 a.m. until 6 a.m. Monday through Sunday.

The stay at home order, which is in effect until April 16th, doesn't require residents to confine themselves to the inside of their homes. They're allowed to go to grocery stores and other essential businesses and workplaces, medical facilities and to walk their dogs and exercise.

The Town of Palm Beach also has a shelter-in-place order and nightly curfew in effect and Boca Raton has a stay-home order as well.

These cities are essentially giving a name to what the county is already doing.

Palm Beach County, while not officially enacting a "stay at home" order, has ordered the closure of any non-essential business. Those are the same as the "non-critical" businesses that other communities around the state have listed, such as retail outlets that don't sell "essential" items.

Also, the county has closed all parks, including those operated by municipalities, beaches and golf courses, public and private.
