You're being reminded to drain any standing water around your house to avoid the breeding of mosquitoes.

This as the West Nile virus has been detected in sentinel chickens in Palm Beach County.

The chickens that tested positive are in Pahokee and Belle Glade.

The Department of Health says they're constantly monitoring for mosquito borne diseases like West Nile, as well as Chikungunya and St. Louis Encephalitis and are using it as a reminder to take the necessary preventive measures.

The last reported human case of West Nile virus was in 2011.
