Alleged Peeping Tom Arrested For 29th Time

An alleged peeping tom is behind bars for the 29th time.

Martin County Sheriff's officials say 60-year old Douglas Towns targeted women and children and had been looking into windows for several years.

Most recently, he was caught in Palm City, where detectives say he placed a chair outside the bedroom window of a 15-year old girl and was spotted coming out of the bushes outside the girl's home.

Towns told deputies that he's been doing this sort of thing for three years and arrest records show he's been busted 29 times, including for drug charges, DUI and battery, along with loitering, most of which are misdemeanors.  The crime for which he is charged this time around is a felony.

Towns is being held on 50 thousand dollars bond for burglary and voyeurism.
